The Operations Department of Fairfood is currently recruiting for the position of

Finance Assistant 

Department

Operations is the Staff Department focusing on supporting the various line departments in the field of ICT, Finance, Quality Management and HR. The department coordinates, builds and implements policy in these fields. In addition, other administrative tasks and support activities are carried out for the various departments within Fairfood. The project Finance is part of the department Operations and is responsible for the financial administration of Fairfood International. The project Finance consists of Manager Finance, Finance assistant and a management assistant.

Function

Have you ever wanted to work for an International company?  Do you have an interest in being part of an organisation that strives to beat world hunger? Fairfood International is looking for someone just like you to join our team!  As Finance assistant you support the Manager Finance in the implementation of the financial administration of Fairfood. You are responsible for the maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and tasks related to this.

Your competences

Are you embarking on a new career in Finance? Fluent in English? Are you studying and require some valuable experience alongside your studies?  If so, this role could be for you! We’re looking for someone who has experience in administrative work, and has good attention to detail. You are a good communicator, in order to support the Manager Finance, as well as the whole organisation.

What we offer?

This position is suitable as an internship to achieve work experience in this particular field of work and at an NGO. We offer a versatile position within a young international organisation. In this role we can offer the following trainings;

-  Checking invoices

-  Booking invoices in the accounting system

-  Registering payments

-  Follow up on outstanding issues

You will have the freedom and opportunities to continue developing yourself and achieve tangible results. This is an unpaid position; however we will reimburse your travel expenses and provide lunch for the days you work.
