EEIP (Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes) and CEPI (Confederation of European Paper Industries) are inviting you to 'Energy and Resource Management in Industry: Technology and People', a half-day conference which will take place on 21 June, 9 am-1 pm, at Sicco Mansholt room, Charlemagne building, European Commission (170 Rue de la Loi). The aim of this event is to kick-start a Brussels discussion on a industrial and business energy efficiency; one that will look both at the best available technologies and user behaviour.
With starting point of effective energy and resource management, we are planning two panel discussions separated by a coffee break. The first will focus on industrial energy efficiency EU policy and business initiatives we feel need to be more effectively connected. The second will look at technology and people interplay in relation to energy efficiency in business and how we can maximise understanding and uptake of energy efficiency. This year our high-profile panelists are coming from Siemens Industry, Finnfjord, Opower, University of Oxford, European Commission, Schneider Electric, Bellona Foundation, Rhodia Energy Services and more.

On 10 October, Sustainability Day in the Netherlands, Morgen (SENSD Netherlands) handed over their Manifest to ten managers of universities. Speakers at the event included former Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and former chariman of the board of directors of Rabobank Herman Wijffels.
